Our Beliefs
Originally our church was affiliated with the Congregational Christian
Churches. However with the union of the Evangelical and Reformed
Church and the Congregational Christian Churches in 1957, we
became part of the United Church of Christ. We are about faith and
justice, exploration and understanding. We belong to Christ.

Our Programs
We offer Sunday worship services, education and fellowship, music
ministries, community outreaches, day school, and other activities.
We have special worship services for the Easter Sunrise Service,
Blessing of the Pets, Angel Sunday, children's Christmas pageant, and
9/11 Anniversary. Throughout the year, there are special music
programs -- Lenten and Christmas cantatas, Freedom Sunday, and
Thanksgiving. We are involved in community events, such as the
Community Yard Sale, the Pumpkin Patch, Christmas tree sales, The
Key Biscayne Green Market, Relay for Life, and the Haitian outreach.

Our History
Our first service in September 1951 was held at the "Hacienda
House", a coconut-crushing shed. The following month we moved to
the "Mashta House" open-air porch for services. Our first pastor was
Rev. W.R. Lesser who was instrumental in starting a membership
campaign and securing funding for our first church building. The
Mackle brothers gifted the land for our church site and the first service
in our new building occurred in December 1952.
